When we
allow others to treat us negatively, we are telling then that it is alright. Soon it becomes a pattern. Many relationships
dissolve over these patterns of destructive behavior. We can retrain people to
treat us lovingly when we ask for their respect. One way to be treated well is
to treat others the way you want to be treated. The Golden Rule never goes out
of style.
Be loving,
kind and supportive of others and they will return the favor. If someone close
to you treats you with disrespect, tell them that is unacceptable behavior. Treat
yourself the way you want to be treated and others will follow suit.
